What does a wood burner sweep involve?
- Visual check of exterior stack, chimney pot and cowl if applicable
- Inspect appliance and internals
- Inspect and check closure/register plate
- Remove internals of burner & complete sweep/clean chimney/flue & appliance
- Check Firebricks & Baffle
- Check Door rope seal
- Check glass is secure and seal/gaskets are good
- Check controls working as expected
- Check others parts of the burner like log retainer, riddle, handle etc
- Examine the debris removed and offer advice if needed
