Sweep & Mini Service

Our Chimney Sweep & Mini Service is ideal for those with small open fires or stoves 

Includes:

• Check of the appliance and lower parts of the flue, strip down and clean of all internal parts/bricks & lubricate any moving parts & glass cleaned
• Sweep using relevant equipment
• Smoke draw & spillage test 
• Repair of firebricks, only if small cracks and in overall good order. 
• Flue fire cement replacement if needed 
• Advice on anything that needs attention or replacement
• HETAS sweep certificate

• Door rope/glass seal rope replacement from £30+ on the day normally 
• Firebricks can be cut onsite sometimes or ordered in (from £35+)

Open Fires

Our Standard Open Fire Chimney Sweeping Service is ideal for those whose open fires already in situ. 

A Open Fire sweep includes:

• Basic check of the appliance and lower parts of the flue, strip down and clean of all parts
• Overall check of hearth, opening and surrounds
• Sweep using relevant equipment
• Smoke draw & spillage test post sweep
• Advice on anything that needs attention or replacement 
• HETAS sweep certificate)

Pre installation sweep and options for CCTV inspection. Ideal if you are wanting to bring a chimney back into use. Many chimneys get altered over the years, so before reinstating it should be checked over. 

Our Pre Install Sweep with CCTV Service can help ensure your flue is in a fit state to be brought back into use.

If there are blockages using a camera can identify them, the camera can also spot potential hazards which sweeping alone will not find.

Any blockages which can prevent the safe evacuation of combusted gases can be very dangerous when you use your fireplace or stove.

Photos can be provided and report including all relevant information. 

New home owner - Ideal if you have no paper work etc and don't want to leave to chance. 

Or if you needs your chimney looking at because of a problem, we can inspect using CCTV and compile a report with images/videos if needed

Chimneys are popular places for birds to either nest in, built mainly by jackdaws and, once they’ve decided they want to set up home in your chimney it wont take long to block the flue/chimney

Nesting season is typically mid March until August. Signs to look out for:
If you start to find twigs and other debris in your fire grate then there is a strong possibility that nesting activity is taking place. 

Nests are protected by law and cannot usually be removed during the nesting season. We are unable to remove nests which are capable of being active – between February-July

Any live nests may have to be left alone until we know the birds have left and then we can go ahead and remove them safely and look at ongoing precautions to stop it happening again.
